Build your assistant Guidance
Guidance
Set the tone, answer length, and rules your assistant follows.
Content decides what the assistant says. Guidance decides how it says it.
Voice and rules
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Tone of voice | Professional, Friendly, Formal, Playful, Concise |
| Answer length | Concise, Standard, Detailed |
| Communication style | Your own rules, such as "Use the customer's first name" or "Never promise delivery dates". Start from a template or write your own. |
| Context and clarification | When to ask a follow-up question instead of guessing. |
| Blocked-answer fallback | What the assistant says when it can't or shouldn't answer. |
Each rule group can be switched on or off without deleting it.
Examples
Examples are pairs of a customer question and the answer you'd give. They teach the assistant your style better than rules alone.
- Open the Examples pane and press + New example.
- Write a real customer question and your ideal answer.
- Add at least two, then press Save examples.
Tip. You can also create examples straight from a conversation: use Revise answer on any reply in Chats.
